Read about our founder, Beck Bamberger:
Beck Bamberger isn’t into stock quotes and quarterly earnings. She’s interested in the people, passion, and the stories behind companies doing remarkable things.
A proud San Diego native representing the new economy, Beck fuses a rare combination of television and business experience. She's worked in over five TV news networks and studios, including San Diego's NBC 7/39 and KUSI News, along with Pittsburgh's PBS affiliate and WPXI. She’s hosted a number of business programs and series on networks such as San Diego’s Fox and CW affiliates, including San Diego’s Best and Brightest and Next 500. Today, Next 500 airs on Biz Television, a national business network. Beck continues to bring viewers up close and inside business worlds by exploring dozens of the world’s established and up and coming companies and the people who started them.
Passionate about the communication of business, Beck founded BAM Communications, a public relations firm, in 2006. BAM Communications continues to represent cutting edge businesses and innovative, lifestyle oriented clients.
Beck is a proud Bruin of UCLA, where she nabbed her B.A. in economics in unprecedented two years. Immediately following her undergraduate degree, Beck obtained her MBA and a marketing specialization at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Business School, a US Today top 50 ranked business school, as the youngest graduate to date. In Pittsburgh, Beck was co-president of Pittsburgh's National Association of Women MBA (NAWMBA.) She also brushed up her marketing expertise with internships and projects for Morgan Stanley, UPMC, DeBeers, and Panera Bread..
Beck may be a business nerd, but she's also a certified personal trainer (NSCA), a licensed PADI scuba diver, a Toastmaster certified public speaker, marathon runner, and swings a mean forehand on the tennis court. A member of the San Diego Press Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Society of Professional Journalists, Beck also volunteers for KPBS radio.
Beck's business background and talk show talent started when she was 15 years old, when she randomly began calling CEOs in San Diego, asking for meetings, "just to chat" and learn how they got where they are today. So she claims, but we believe it. |
